KIMN "Denver 95" was a top-40 legend in the 1960s and '70s. During the '80s, like many other prominent AM stations, KIMN evolved into more of a full service music format. Our two "I'd Rather Be In Denver" image packages helped the station reflect the pride shared by everyone living in the Mile High City, and was also used by over 100 other stations on 4 continents. In the summer of 1982, Steve Keeney (GM) and Doug Erickson (PD) worked with JAM to promote KIMN as "The Best Show" in Denver. The resulting package included unusual short cuts as well as several mini-songs.
